2018 Twilight Lantern Parade Registration

Join us in lighting up the night with costumes, lanterns and twinkling, glowing parade puppets in this annual Denton tradition.

Drive, pull or carry a lighted parade float! Ride lighted bikes or drive an illuminated art car or truck! Walk along the route in a glowing costume or carrying a lantern! Grab a drum or musical instrument, put some lights on it, and make some noise!

This year, you can also participate in our parade contest. Awards will go to the illuminated floats or parade art that best express our festival’s theme – the harvest, Halloween and Dia de los Muertos.

The lineup is at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, and the lantern-lighted procession starts to move through town at 6:30 p.m.

Parade lineup location and route will be announced soon. This is a free family event. All ages are welcome.

Entry deadline (floats, cars/trucks, bikes, bands & drummers): Oct. 12, 2018.

*Costumed participants simply join the parade at the lineup, no registration necessary.

**Don’t throw items such as candy or glow products from the parade caravan into the crowd. Do not place stacks of unattended handbills or items along the parade route or on vehicle windshields. These items can be distributed by hand to the crowd.
